The design challenge as told by its creators
"Between the Apuan Alps and the sea, Forte dei Marmi has long stood as a timeless retreat — since the 1950s, a haven for those seeking leisure and escape from everyday life. Here, among tall pines and memories of a carefree era, an old villa returns to its former splendour, a living witness to the town’s history.
The intervention reflects the client’s desire to rediscover tranquillity and privacy — a private space where everyday living becomes an experience of calm. MGF Paesaggi has designed new balances between architecture and nature: the rectangular pool, simple and precise, acts as a natural mirror where sky, trees, and vegetation are reflected, blending architectural and natural elements in perfect harmony.
The garden expresses a measured equilibrium between structure and naturalness, where light, water, and vegetation engage in discreet dialogue.
Blooms and sculpted green volumes accompany the pool’s reflections, amplifying a sense of tranquil rhythm.
Every detail is conceived to merge with the architecture, transforming the exterior into an oasis of essential elegance, where visual continuity and harmony become the true protagonists."
